pret-a-porter potager? better DIY
This is from a visti to a nursery last weekend. In principal, I suport the idea of having the possibility to make your own potager even in a very small space if you do not have a garden, is a revolution! but I cannot accept is the price you have to pay for it, at least in this nursery. Is it becoming something so fancy or stylish that you have to pay so much for soething so easy to do? I find...

Urban farming in a museum
I am currently working on documenting a “green construction” of a building conceived as a work of art to be settled in the outdoor space of an art center (will post about it soon) and when doing some reasearch on the topic, I came across the exhibit named Public Farm 1 in P.S.1, that opened in mid 2008.
The concept designed by WORK Architecture was about :
Public Farm 1 will...

Urban nature: Mobile mini-herbs-garden
I found some ad-hoc mini-urban-gardens in the last weeks in the streets. They send a message that creativity does not have to be expensive, this one, for herbs, is made from recycled pallets.

This blog is back to work!
After a long hiatus, this blog is back to work with renewed energies! The image below is from a weekely local market in Bunyola (Mallorca) last summer.
I am very happy that local markets, farm markets, organic marets, etc., are flourishing everywhere. This is my contribution to promote helping local communities’ economies by buying locally produced food, and it taste much better!

Rooftop projects
I like rooftop projects, and this one by http://www.graftworks.net sounds interesting and in the movie from their website it is explained the overall concept.
I am not sure if that is why I would have in my rooftop, because I believe what is needed is more greeen areas, but new ideas and solutions are always welcome, in the end is research and cleverness what will bring good ideas.
